A Christmas Gift and Craft Fair held at the Beaufort Park last Sunday raised more than £1,100 for the charity Meningitis Now.
More than 250 people poured into the Westminster Suite to buy a wide-range of festive gifts and crafts from local stall holders.
The "Gingerbread Corner" was a huge hit with the kids, thanks to the Beaufort Park’s Janette Kennedy and a host of other kind volunteers.
The event was organised by local lady, Eve Williams, who said: “We had 20 local stallholders who each contributed, along with three stalls of our own - with every penny going to Meningitis Now. Not only did everyone thoroughly enjoy the day, it was also a great fundraiser for a cause very close to my family’s heart. I would like to thank everyone who supported the event, including the Beaufort Park and all of my wonderful helpers.”
